Historical Accuracy
I continually measure and examine historical instruments in museums and collections around the world to inform my making, so that my instruments look, sound, and feel like the originals.
Traditional decorative techniques
I use a wide range of traditional decorative techniques such as carving, gilding, marquetry and inlay, creating artistically rich instruments that equal the depth of craft skill seen on early instruments.
